""I have been comparing HDTVs for some time now. I would say that the way to go is LED. I bought the 7100 (silver edge @ Best Buy) & I love it. Setup was speedy & simple. The colors & clarity are out of this world. Great for watching sports! Plenty of reviewers have commented on the speakers, but in a pinch Samsung LED HDTV will do. The sound is as nice as my Mitsubishi - 55"" that I am replacing. In the event you can receive a home theater technique you wont regret it. I also bought a Samsung - Blu-Ray Disc Player & a Whalen - 3-in-1 TV Stand.

UPDATED BELOW 9/23/09...

I have had this TV for about two weeks now & could not be more pleased! My A/V setup was in place when Samsung LED HDTV arrived & all I had to do was connect the HDMI to start watching tv. I am walking HD cable (HDMI), Wii (Part), Blu Ray (HDMI), & a camera (HDMI) all through the Denon AVR-1910. Only the HDMI out from the Denon to the TV is necessary as Samsung LED HDTV switches & upconverts all video.
So after I plugged Samsung LED HDTV in, cable channels started appearing...except for two HD channels - got a black screen.
